I totally agree with this article on Science Daily that “Once they start composting, people find other ways to be ‘green'”. Research has found that when people start composting kitchen waste, they start taking other environmentally-friendly actions – like taking shorter showers and unplugging electronics when they’re not in use. Definitely a case of a good behaviour prompting the development of others.
“They found that those who began composting food waste also engaged in more efforts to conserve water and energy compared to those who did not compost.”
